1314 Aebleskiver pan question

My mom has this Danish cake pan, I've always called it a Wagner because the font just screamed Wagner to me.

But then I started seeing Favorite pans that were dead ringers, some even with removable handles.

And to muddy the waters even more, I've seen identical unmarked No. 1314A pans with those same removable handles.

So, now I'm in a bit of a pickle and honestly, I don't really got a clue what my mom really own.

Anyone out there able to shed some light on this, or set the record straight for me?

Those removable-handle pans were made by a few brands back then, have you checked the bottom for any faint stamps or logos? cause sometimes that's the only way to tell for sure

I think my aunt had a pan just like that, and we always thought it was Wagner too, mostly from the font and feel. Turns out the No. 1314A Danish cake pans were made by both Wagner and Favorite, and some were even sold unmarked.

Wagner and Favorite both put out versions, and when Favorite got absorbed some of the patterns carried over, which explains why the fonts and handles look so similar. The unmarked ones usually came later, often from the same foundries just without a logo. So if your mom's has that removable handle and the casting feels clean and light, odds are it's Wagner era, but without markings, we cant really be 100% certain

I just think that the removable handle is a big clue though because many of these collectors lean toward Favorite for those.
