Bean cooking

I am from KY. I do soup beans at non- profit events. I have a kettle ( cauldron) that I bought almost 20 years ago. Getting too old, passing on to my daughter. She asked me how old it is. I bought it for a 100plus year old. It had minor rust on cooking area but nothing a little pure lard wouldn't take care of. Just wanting tips on aging it. Thc
