A friend found me an unmarked aluminum corn stick pan at an estate sale and it is my very first piece of aluminum. I am trying to figure out the best way to clean it up right now.

I am scrubbing it with Dawn and hot water but I think it needs more than that. The pan has no markings on it, but the corn sticks alternate directions which might help figure out the maker later. What cleaning method do you all use for aluminum pans and is there a good way to identify an unmarked pan like this one?

Just scrub it gently with baking soda paste or you can just soak it in vinegar and mix it with water. Identifying it might be challenging, but if there is an alternating pattern or shape of the wells. Old catalogs might have a match on your pan.
