My Daughter, a highly trained and experienced Chef, Educator and Volunteer Firefighter gave me a pair of heat proof gloves for grilling and high temp baking and they are fabulous! They have black leather palms and fingers and camo backs and have high cuffs. They're made for grilling, but work well in high oven temps. There is a small tag on the back with a Fire Fighter emblem and the work 'RESCUE" in the emblem. I found them online and they are expensive, but worth every penny. Online cost is $70. but the safety of your hands is worth it. These look like the last pair of high heat gloves you'll ever need. After picking up a Lodge Cast Iron pan from cooking a pizza at 475 F and not feeling a thing I'm overjoyed! These are so much better than oven mitts or pot holders. If you can swing the price, buy them and you'll never use oven mitts or pot holders again! God Bless. Bob

that rescue design helps your fingers move freely and also you get a solid grip on the handle instead of hoping a bulky mitten holds tight.
As stated, my Daughter is a FireFighter and has been for over 22 years and purchased several pairs of these RESCUE GLOVES at a special sale at her firehouse. If you are related to or know a FireFighter you may be able to get a deal on these gloves through them, but even at the retail price they are the BEST high heat gloves you can purchase, bar none and you can use them baking, working the grille or anywhere else requiring fantastic heat protection!
