the Wagner hype

from what I can tell, the Wagner basically just copied Griswold patterns and put out a cheaper version with worse QC
I wonder, is there a reason people are so obsessed with them, or is it just because they're easier to find than Griswold?

Griswold is a bit more expensive coz they're a show piece but I get what you mean.

Wagner is for daily use. They're lighter than Griswold.

Agree, they are quite expensive but the quality is better of course.
