Colorful enameled Dutch ovens are everywhere now, from Le Creuset to budget lines like Lodge and Cuisinart.

There's no seasoning required, it's easy to clean, and looks great on the counter but enamel coating can chip and they’re heavy even before adding food. So decision is up to you.

if you are looking for durability under rough use, then go with cast iron. But if you are looking for a Dutch oven that does not require the upkeep of traditional cast iron, then enameled Dutch ovens are a good option for you.

I tried using Le Creuset but I don't like it. Though it handles best in slow cooking, nothing beats the consistency of the cast iron.
