I have been using cast iron for camping lately and it is really great outside the kitchen. It is built to handle open flames and it keeps the heat for a long time which makes everything taste better and gives a perfect sear. But you have to be ready to put in some work because keeping the seasoning right outdoors is not easy and cleaning it away from your sink can be a real hassle. To those doing the same, do you have any good tips for quick camp clean up? And how do you keep your seasoning from flaking off when you are cooking over a fire?
