Found a vintage lodge #8 skillet with arc logo

Found a vintage Lodge #8 skillet with arc logo, dating from 1910–1930s. It's flat with a smooth cooking surface, it is my first time seeing one "in the wild." Are these rare or valuable?

You know, a lot of Lodges out there don't even have any markings. It's pretty wild! Many of these have been around for over a century, so they can be pretty rare finds. Sometimes, you really have to scrub them down to uncover the logo buried under years of grime. A #8 Lodge is pretty common though, so it doesn't hold much value compared to the bigger ones like a #12. If you're curious about pricing, just hop on eBay and check out some sold listings to get an idea of what they're going for

They are not super rare finds, but it's getting harder to find one at a thrift store. Most of the people buy them and then resell them online. The price can vary around 50-150 dollars but if the skillet is in great shape, well maintained and seasoned the price can be even higher.

Oh, I totally get that! A few years back, I found an old Lodge #8 at this dusty little antique shop, and it was like finding hidden treasure! After giving it a good clean, it's become my absolute favorite for baking cornbread. It may not be super rare or anything, but every time I come across one in the wild, it feels like I've scored a little victory

Arc logo lodges are surely quite valuable in my area. And they seem like extremely high quality pans. I would immediately pick one up if I saw one in good condition at $50 or less. I've seen them from cast iron vendors above $100.
