Have you seen the latest specialized cast iron cookware? Since I started collecting cast iron pans, I get super excited to see what is happening with cast iron these days. My mom loves it coz it lasts forever and cooks without all those chemical coatings. I specially love it for hot dishes.

But I just saw some news about new cast iron pieces that's good for those of us with tiny kitchens. They are making stackable cast iron sets! This is huge for saving cabinet space especially my condo has small kitchen cabinets. And then for specialty cooking there are cool new shapes. Like the dedicated cast iron bread ovens which must give an amazing crust. I'm also seeing a rise in square grill pans and this interesting pan called a cassadou, likea a deep sauté pan or a small Dutch oven hybrid.

I've seen some new cast iron designs and they are amazing. I am more interested in the square grill pans. Do you think that the cast iron can maintain its quality while it is evolving to fit modern kitchens?

I sure hope so! Over the years I spent way too much on junk "coated" cookware and now only use cast iron. I look forward to one day passing down all my cast iron to my Chef Daughter and I hope the new items are as good as the old ones.

I think stackable are great especially for small paces. I have friends who have tiny homes and this is great, actually.
