I haven't tried it yet, but I saw a self help video about plain white vinegar online. "7 Ways to Clean with Vinegar". Cooking smells in the kitchen can be neutralized by having white vinegar in a small dish in the kitchen. Same for your refrigerator. Other uses too! Check it out! God Bless. Bob

I keep a big bottle of white vinegar under the sink because it neutralizes strong alkaline odors and gets rid of tough smells like fish or old food.

yeah, my grandmother used to do the same thing. vinegar is amazing because it doesn't just mask the smell with perfume like sprays do. it actually neutralizes the alkaline molecules that cause the odors

You might notice a whiff of sour pickle. The good thing is, it goes away way faster than the first nasty smell.

Thanks for sharing this! I was hesitant to try this trick because of the smell. But I guess everyone here might be using this vinegar trick.
