For Trade North Texas Cast Iron Trading

This appears to be a pretty new forum, so without much member history, shipping cast iron might take some time to get traction here. So face-to-face could be a more approachable form of transaction. I love to trade unused pieces for things I might like better. I purchase various types of iron, and pass on a lot of interesting things someone might enjoy.

If you are in the greater Fort Worth area, from about Arlington to Abilene, post here if you have any interest in doing some cast iron trading. I'm working a trade with a local picker right now but if we get some folks in the area I think that would be fun. I would drive a ways to meet people for a cast iron swap meet. Trading with a reseller generally means I'm giving him a better deal so he can profit on a sale later.

No photos yet, but I'll post a short list of things I could let go, and a short list of things I'm specifically looking for.

That's a great idea. Face-to-face trading makes a lot of sense with cast iron since shipping costs can be painful on the larger pieces. Hopefully a few North Texas collectors chime in. A local swap meet would be a lot of fun.
