I picked this up at a yard sale. I have never heard of the brand. I only give a couple bucks for it. It does need a little work, but there is no pitting. I was just wondering if any one has heard of

this brand and can tell anything about it.

Nice, it looks like a great find! I'm also a fan of flea markets and yard sales!

Calphalon is a well-known brand, though I think they are more famous for their hard-anodized aluminum cookware. For a few bucks, it sounds like you got a real steal. A little work to get it re-seasoned, but no pitting is the most important thing!

Post some "after" pics when you're done with it!

Have you restored Calphalon cast iron before? Curious if it seasons up as nicely as Lodge or older vintage pieces

I believe this brand is known for hard-anodized cookware. If yours isn't pitted, that's a good sign. What kind of work does it need? just cleanup or something more?

From looking at the inside it looks like it mostly just needs a cleaning, then cooking in. Good find - Since finding this forum I've started using my cast iron skillets more 'n more rather than the "new fangled" stuff.
